Bump. Again, today is Medal of Honor Day. The Marine Corps put up a short video on it's website. I had the honor and privilege of meeting 1stSgt Jimmie Howard at our Battalion Mess Night prior to deployment in June 1990. His 18 man platoon from C Co. 1st Recon Bn is the most decorated small unit in military history: (1) Medal of Honor (4) Navy Cross' (13) Silver Stars and (18) Purple Hearts. At one point in the battle they were low on ammo, engaging in H2H combat and throwing rocks at the attacking NVA.
