Magpul Glock Mags

Any of you guys running these a lot or at least enough to say either way whether they are worth it as they are very reasonably priced.

Been thinking about picking some up but obviously don't want them if they are junk or if its better to just spend the extra cash and get Glock factory mags.

I have a few dozen floating around my range bag and duty equipment. I like them a lot but I have had a few, that once empty, won't engage the slide lock.

I haven't had any issues with the current Magpul models, They had some bugs at first, but the current mags are G2G, IMO.

Why not just stick with Glock OEM mags?

Because they are cheaper, like $10 to $15 cheaper.

I have used them for several competitions and have not had any issues with them. They hold up just as good as OEM mags.

No issues with a few thousand rounds through mine in a G-19. They do not have a steel insert/feed lips like the factory Glock magazines. I mention that only in the event that is important to you for some reason.

I've been running a dozen of them at work for personal training purposes.

[Though today I realized 3 of them are absent from my Range Rig]

So for now I'm down to 9.

They work great.

As far as why - well, the issue weapon here is the Gen3 19.
Glock OEM Mags are issued as well. I keep my personal Glock OEM Mags as far away from the fray as possible. We have a few hundred various Gen3/19's going back and forth day-to-day week-to-week and it's easy to get mags switched when working in other Range Rigs and with Shooters. I run both a G19 or G17 depending what I'm working that day.

The PMags in the 17 almost a year now ... GtG.

They work well.

As always, test thoroughly before betting your life on them.

I have them for my G 17 and G 19. Nary an issue. Gen 2,3,4 and I haven't tested them in the Gen 5 yet.

Some issues were prevalent with the first mags. Magpul immediately corrected it and since then no issues. I have several of the G19/17 mags and they work as advertised. I have been using them for range stuff and keeping the OEM magazines for carry/HD use.

A couple of you have said this, any way to tell if they are the first run if I'm at the gun shop? I would assume if I ordered them directly from the Magpul site they would not be the first mags.

There was a recall, so any authorized Magpul dealer shouldn't have any of the bad mags in stock. This was 3 years ago, so there shouldn't be many of the bad ones around. Also, at that point, the G17 GL9 was the only model being produced.

I have one and haven’t had issues with it, but it definitely seems cheaper built than the OEM mags.

I was issued three of them to use on the range and have been using them over the past two years. I haven’t had any issues with them in my Gen 4 G17.

I have 4 and no problems with my gen 4 G19 and G17. I carry only OEM Glock mags and use the Magpul's for the range.
