Not as tragic but I had allergy testing today. I was picked, poked an prodded on for 2 hrs. I was tested for a panel of 54 allergens and a few more I requested. Came up positive on 3. So I get sub q injections on the remaining 50 some over again to double check for false positives.

Dogs - hahahahahah, big problem
Cats - No problem
Pine tree pollen - problem

So, I get to get a shot once a week, 70 mile round trip X 10 wks. Then I forgot the rest.

Hell, I'm gonna start drinking Copperhead & Timber rattlesnake venom too. My only threat in the wild, so fuck eliminate those 2 critters as well.

Some of my first memories as a child included dogs. Always had 1 or more. I've hunted them, bred them (mostly doggie style) and always had them as pets.

I'm on 2 different ones. Singular, no antihistamine, Zyrtec, antihistamine & nasonex. The test was painless really but I itched like a mofo.

1RiserSlip,
Allergies suck and I get them bad enough that I'm all but useless. I'm allergic to dogs as well but couldn't imagine not having them around so I'm on zyrtec as well. It works great but the 2 best things I've ever done to help with allergies was learn to keep my hands away from my face and I bought an air purifier for the house.

That purifier alone has all but SOLVED the indoor allergies. Not just for me but 2 of my kids as well. Winix 5500-2 model on Amazon. I've not had one single allergy "attack" since we bought it. Been 3 months. I don't even take the zyrtec daily anymore.

He was the rebel, always bucking the system, but he joined the Navy, started from basic and worked his way up to nuclear qualification, then went to work at Norfolk for a civilian contractor and was one of the guys who basically turned on the reactor for newly commissioned ships & boats and turned them off when nuclear ships & boats were decommissioned. Recently retired, he was 60 years old.

Never thought he would be the first of us to check out.

RIP, bro.

Foreign cars and smartphones that's Bluetooth and text to talk features cant understand a little Appalachian accent.

ie;
Request: Call Big Willie
Response: Call Piggly Wiggly
Request: NO! CALL BIG WILLIE.
Response: If I heard you correctly you want to call Piggly Wiggly. Right?
