That's how it was when immigration first started and we became the "melting pot". Can't recall the specific date when welfare was first granted to immigrants, though.

Ya, but I ain't as heightier as I used to be, about an inch and a half lower to the ground now!

To stay on topic, back when I was really busy, I could not find any white college boys who wanted to learn to pour concrete so I had to hire hispanics. Many were illegal , but all worked cuz I paid well. Had I the resources I would have figured out a way to keep their entire family fed, sheltered and legal. I gave one family in a bind my old '69 GMC. I loved that truck!

According to the AG of California, regardless of documentation, children have a right to a public education in California.

Paid well to them, the foreign invaders. Obviously white college boys didn't find the money worthwhile.

I'm not casting blame, but people need to understand this. Whatever number you or I think is "right" for a job doesn't mean shit. The labor market doesn't lie, and it's not emotional; the concrete business needed to open their wallets and charge more to pay more to get the workers. This is why I hate those swindling lolbertarian shiteaters; they don't actually believe the "market forces" shit they peddle, except when it benefits themselves.

Yes, it's the prisoners dilemma, the first cheater means all must cheat or lose. That's why employing illegal invaders needs to be mercilessly punished, say first offense is something like one years avg salary for that industry per offender. Second offense complete seizure of everything and 10yrs hard labor in the salt mines. S/F....Ken M

The AG needs a lesson in Negative rights vs Positive rights.

He's also harming the children of people here legally. And I'm not talking about the kids of wealthy elites he or she thinks will pay.

In my children's back-to-school packet, Becerra had a whole page devoted to the "rights" and "privileges" of undocumented immigrants. What they should or should not say if approached by ICE, how to create a way for the illegals to have their children cared for if the adults are picked up in an ICE raid. It was quite remarkable (and not in a good way) what was written.

I got the impression that Becerra probably believes that California was probably stolen from Mexico and needs to be returned. I never believed in the claptrap of La Raza and MEChA. I personally think that those two organizations are bigoted not only to whites and Asians but also to Latinos who don't believe in socialism.

Illustrative of several points recently made.

Those recent raids on plants hiring illegals? This is the aftermath for one. A job fair with lots of applicants and interested people. People who would appear to be citizens or legal residents. So the need for illegals is where?

This in an industry that routinely hires illegals...and the pay is low and had gone lower. Could there be a correlation there?

Now the pay is higher...but the citizens still want more. No shock there either...and nothing wrong with that. The job will pay what it’s worth...or the job will go away.

As it should be.

And I've mentioned it before, but it needs to be beaten into people's heads.

The biggest cause of the progress of human civilization has always been, and always will be, scarcity of labor. If labor costs too much, develop a machine to do the work. Higher individual productivity means higher individual income and higher standard of living.

On the "pay attention to the subversion" front, notice how the enemedia are always blathering about average income or gross domestic product, as if those metrics actually mean something on their own. Back when the media was less evil, the metric of relevance was always "standard of living." S/F....Ken M

I saw them in... ‘12 while TDY. It was a good time. There was also supposed to be bikini bull riding, but didn’t see any of that.

I am guilty as charged. I do not know of any of us back then who did not have some illegals working. We all paid well back then (20-25yrs ago) I paid $14/hr for labor and $25/hr for finishers. Heck , we shared finishers when we had to. I subbed out as a finisher to my buddies one or two days a week. I got paid a minimum of 4 bills a day( I made more finishing decorative than conventional flatwork), and that went into my bag for paying my "wetbacks". Hell of a world we live in.

You had midget illegals working concrete for you?

"It is undisputed that defendant was holding the gun when it fired. But that fact alone does not establish he possessed the gun for more than a moment. To possess the gun, defendant had to know he was holding it," the appellate court wrote."

Does this logic apply to every law?

^I read that article earlier and thought about bringing to socnet, then I thought about how rediculus that whole ordeal was.

I mean, all he did was pick up a gun and shoot some woman?! How can we prove it was on purpose or negligent?

Just go slam your head into a wall. You'll probably feel better...

I think that Garcia-Zarate should be offered honorary citizenship as well as compensation for all his troubles.

This case is such a disgrace!
