Rick Boucher used to be on here often. I think he went through during Nam. I did Benning July 91.

Which one, Parisi or Reidsma? They were both my instructors. There was definitely some "odd" shit that went down during that course, IE: Shooting over the stalking lanes Best/toughest course I ever attended but definitely some odd shit that took place, just happy to get my HOG's tooth.

I think you are correct. He was an instructor when I went through and would share stories from Nam.

Not the oldest, by a long shot, but I've been reading way more than I've been posting and I like that there's action in the Sniper forum. Stone Bay, 3-99.

Back to my lane.

Preacher Keith RIP an old ranger member would have been to Quantico in the late 70's. He was one of two A/1/75 M21 snipers at the time if I recall correctly.

Saw him at the reunion last year. He seems to be doing well.

I have always been intrigued by you snipers! My friend , Randy Shughart ( RIP, MOH), went through circa '78 or '79. I always thought that their training was cooler than my Bn M-60 training with fuckwad , SSG Franz! Plus really cool movies are made about snipers!

Didn't even have an Army sniper school when I went through...it was SS School if there was a slot, you either did a Ranger MTT (Zonk1/75 and I did 2), or you got sent to Benning for a long range marksmanship course put on by the President's Hundred--I got a slot and got lucky enough to attend. I was pretty fucking cocky and grew up shooting all my life, got my ass handed to me daily by my instructor...still remember his name, Ssgt. Greg Strom. Man, that fucker could sling lead...great course, taught me a shit ton about shooting.

Sky God (in his own mind, anyway) SSG Franz. Perfect example of the Aryan Soldier

I was one of the few B 2/75 M21 snipers who never got a school slot, but I still was a better damn shot than anyone else in the company...

B2/75, where did you guys take your training then? I remember, Shughart, Elias, and a few others from B Co. coming back from training. I can't for the life of me remember where it was though! Was it just SOT school at Bragg?

Well since Gooch was one of my instructors, I can't be older than him. I was Quantico spring of 83 for my 8541.
