General Ray Davis has died

I had the great opportunity to meet with the General here in Korea a few years back during the planning for the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War commemorations. He and several other retired Generals were here, and getting the chance to hear them discuss their experiences in Korea as we traveled about Korea was an opportunity of a lifetime... Gen Davis talked about the way he and some of his staff recruited and organized 1/7 at Camp Pendleton- by driving around the base and looking for groups of Reserve Marines, and asking them if they wanted to join the outfit! It worked....
